AutoMind provides vehicle diagnostic services using AI Car Scanner technology. The app connects to your vehicle via an ELM327 OBD2 adapter to read data, scan fault codes (DTCs), and monitor vehicle health.
2. Permissions & Data Access
To provide accurate diagnostics, AutoMind requires the following permissions:
- Bluetooth: Necessary to establish a connection between your mobile device and the ELM327 OBD2 adapter.
- Location: Required by Android/iOS systems to scan for nearby Bluetooth devices. We do not use this to track your personal movements.
- Storage/File Access: Occasionally, the app allows you to download and save diagnostic reports. This permission is required to write these files to your device.
3. In-App Purchases (Car Scanner Pro)
AutoMind offers “Car Scanner Pro” and other premium features through In-App Purchases.
- All financial transactions are handled securely via the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
- By purchasing, you agree to the payment terms and refund policies of the respective app store.
- Premium features are tied to your store account and are non-transferable between different platforms (e.g., Android to iOS).
4. Hardware Compatibility
The app is designed to work with compatible ELM327 Bluetooth/Wi-Fi adapters. AutoMind is not responsible for any malfunctions, data errors, or vehicle issues caused by low-quality or faulty third-party hardware adapters.
5. Disclaimer of Liability
AutoMind is a diagnostic tool meant for informational purposes.
- While we strive for accuracy, the app should not replace a professional mechanic’s physical inspection.
- We are not liable for any damage to the vehicle or accidents occurring while using the app during driving. Always prioritize road safety.
6. User Responsibilities
Users are responsible for ensuring their vehicle is compatible with OBD2 standards. You agree not to use the app for any illegal purposes or to attempt to reverse-engineer the software.
